WEEK 1 INTRODUCTION TO BASIC PASTRY

In week 1 we are learn introduction to basic pastry. This is the first day that we have a class for this first semester. We started classes with their own identities because some of us not knew each other. We have been assigned tasks for COD every week. Everyone is obliged to be COD. We have been given a COD schedule. COD every week must meet a chef a week before class to check items for the next class.

In conclusion is hopefully all students give co-operation to chefs and COD every week in running this class throughout this semester until the end of this semester.

In week 8 we are required to make 4 product for this week. There are m any we learned today. Which is vanilla sauce, creme anglaise, chocolate pudding and bread butter pudding. we are divided into groups. Each group will create a product. VANILLA SAUCE RECIPE Ingredient : √ 100 ml – Milk  √ 100 ml – Heavy Cream  √ 25 gram – Castor sugar  √ 7 gram – Custard powder  √ 30 ml – Water  √ A drop of vanilla essence  Method: 1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients. Stir and strain.  2. Pour the mixture into saucepan, bring to heat and simmer. Over low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until the mixture thickens.  3. The sauce is done when you can dip spoon into it, then draw your finger over the back of the spoon and have a track that is almost free of sauce.  4. Remove the sauce from the heat. WEEK 12(BUAH MELAKA, PIZZA DOUGH, KUIH BAKAR JAGUNG)

In this week we learned to make buah melaka and pizza dough. Onde-onde cake or also known as "buah melaka" refers to a kind of cake made from ingredients such as glutinous rice flour, confectionery, grated young coconut, salt, water and pandanus leaves. Onde-onde cake is a popular dish in Malaysia. While pizza dough  is a yeasted  flatbread  typically topped with  tomato sauce  and  cheese  and baked in an oven. It is commonly topped with a selection of meats, vegetables and  condiments .
